Booking Terms

Terms & Conditions

Deposits

An initial payment of £200 is payable to secure your ceremony date.

This must be paid within 48 hours of the invoice being sent via email or your date may be released.

Balances

The balance of your payment must be paid on or before the date of your first ceremony planning meeting. You will be invoiced and reminded that final payment is due.

Cooling Off Period

You have the right, up to 14 days, after payment of the deposit, to cancel the booking for any reason. Your deposit will be returned in full within 14 days of cancellation.

Please use a trackable means of cancellation (posted traced letter or email) and state what means or repayment you require. To meet this deadline, please ensure that I have the notification (whether by post or email) before the 14 day period expires.

Cancellations

If you cancel your ceremony after the 14 day period but prior to the first planning meeting, all or part of your deposit payment will be retained, due to work already undertaken, admin fees and reserving your date and turning away other possible bookings for that day.

A discretionary refund may be made in exceptional circumstances. If you cancel on or after the date of the first planning meeting, you will be liable for full costs.

If you have booked a late notice ceremony which would take place within the 14 day period from your booking, the whole balance would be payable at that time.

Due to the nature of late bookings, this payment would be non-refundable due to the amount of work, writing and planning a late booking amounts too.

Postponements

All postponements will be honoured providing that a mutually agreeable date has been discussed.

In the event of a postponement, please discuss available dates with Jessica at the earliest opportunity, in order to ensure this can happen, otherwise the above cancellation fee will apply.

Mutually agreed postponements within a 12 month period will be honoured at the initially agreed price.

Any postponement outside of this 12 month period may incur an additional charge to reflect fee increases.

Ceremony Legalities

All couples booking any wedding or other ceremonial ceremony are aware that, at present, celebrant ceremonies carry no legal status. You must complete a legal statutory ceremony with your county registrars for your married status to be legally binding.
